Scanned by: Marisa Vitols over 10 years ago
Researchers from the Center for Applied Nanoionics (CANi) at Arizona State University (ASU) have developed a new type of computer memory, which they say will boost the performance, capacity and battery life of consumer electronics, such as digital cameras and laptops. According to the scientists, their new technology, called 'programmable metallization cell' (PMC), is low-cost and more power-efficient than conventional memory storage systems.
